How your team collaboration works with RulesFinder
- Install the software on a web server.
- Invite participants: Participants receive a link to set up their user account.
- Set up main topics: Create some headings – main topics – to structure your range of topics.
- Identify problems: Describe problems that need to be regulated (e.g., in a contract, regulation, or agreement).
- Propose regulations: Describe which rules would be helpful in solving the problem.
- Formulate arguments: List the pros and cons for each proposed regulation.
- Evaluate: Assess the quality of the proposed rules and arguments! Make suggestions for improvement and discuss.
- Oops. Done already? Once you have evaluated all proposals, you can admire your optimal contract result.
- Celebrate the result: Congratulations! You have found your rules and arguments with the highest level of agreement.

What do you need to use RuFi?
The participation and argumentation software RulesFinder is open-source, freely available and free of charge. You can install it on your server or locally on your PC for testing. It is programmed in PHP, based on Drupal and the Symfony framework. You need a web host that meets the following requirements: an Apache or Nginx server, a current PHP version with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL database. For local installations, we recommend using the Docker software DDEV as your environment.
